April 11 and 18, 2008.  SCOPE leads GIS (Geographic Information Systems) mapping training for over 20 members & allies of the Alliance.  Folks learned the basics of mapmaking and produced their own maps.  GIS helps groups target voters more effectively, map community resources, and track membership.  Through September 2008, SCOPE is provding 50 hours total of technical assistance to help groups tune their skills.
